"I wanted to know what my hands would look like at 85 years old, if orange will still be my favourite colour, I wanted to learn something new from someone I have yet to meet.

I kept going because I wanted to know how one puts one's life together again into a new whole."

What kind of therapy is Tender Hearts?

As a therapist, my training is rooted in the wonderful world of Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy, with a particular focus on Person-Centred Therapy. Person-Centred Therapy is an approach that puts you, the client, at the heart of everything we do.

I believe that every person has a unique and valuable story to share, no matter how big or small it feels, that deserves tenderness and time.

Together, we'll create a collaborative space where we can explore your thoughts and feelings without the fear of being rejected or criticised. My approach to therapy values your subjective experience, and above all, your inherent worth and dignity as a human being.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy)  and adhere to their ethical frameworks. I am in regular supervision and take responsibility for my continued professional development.

I'm a big believer in blending different humanistic approaches to create a more holistic healing experience, unique to each individual client. This includes Person-Centred Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Existentialism, Focusing, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, Third-Wave CBT, Trauma-Informed, and Psychoeducation. I believe that your well-being is a sum of all your parts - your physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and sociocultural aspects all play a role in how you're feeling.

And let's be real, finding a fulfilling and stress-free balance in life can be a real challenge today in our modern world, and that's why I offer online therapy - it's convenient, more affordable, and flexible, allowing you to access the support you need from the comfort of your own private space.

In online therapy, we will work together to help you embrace your whole self and navigate life's ups and downs with more ease and joy. Working with, rather than against, the inevitable ebbs and flows of life.

“My anxiety had gotten progressively worse over the past few years and I couldn’t figure out why. After family and friends had spoken of the benefits of therapy I decided to give it a shot. I’m not exaggerating when I say the proceeding 7 sessions with Olivia completely changed my life. The causes of my anxiety were buried so deeply I would never have been able to identify them on my own. I feel like an enormous weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I can now approach life with more excitement and hope - something that was seriously lacking before. I totally understand if anyone is apprehensive about therapy because I definitely was. Once you’re at a place where you can approach with a more open mind, you’ll be very surprised at the positive changes it can bring.”
