What kind of therapy is Tender Hearts?

As a therapist, my training is rooted in the wonderful world of Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy, with a particular focus on Person-Centred Therapy. Person-Centred Therapy is an approach that puts you, the client, at the heart of everything we do in the therapeutic process.

I'm a big believer in blending different humanistic approaches to create a more holistic healing experience, unique to each individual client.

 

This includes Person-Centred Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Existentialism, Focusing, Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Third-Wave CBT, Trauma-Informed, and Psychoeducation.

 

Together, we'll create a collaborative space where we can explore your thoughts and feelings without the fear of being rejected or criticised. My approach to therapy values your subjective experience, and above all, your inherent worth and dignity as a human being. 

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy)  and adhere to their ethical frameworks. I am in regular supervision and take responsibility for my continued professional development.

How Sessions work:

  • 50-minute weekly or fortnightly sessions online via Google Meet video call.
  • Sessions are open-ended, meaning that we can continue with therapy for as long as you feel it is needed. ​
  • No minimum number of sessions is required, and clients can end therapy at any time.
  • 1-1 tailored Psychotherapy for you and your needs, held in a warm, compassionate, and gentle confidential space.
